• What Are My Choices In Flagstone?

There are two shapes of flagstone: cut pattern and random. Cut pattern is dimensional and is sold in 6" increments. The smallest size is 12'' x 12''. Other sizes include: 12'' x 18'', 12'' x 24'', 18'' x 18'', 18'' x 24'' and 24'' x 36''. Cut pattern comes in a variety of colors and types of natural stone.

Random is irregularly shaped, and the surface is generally rougher than cut pattern. Sizes vary depending on the type of flagstone. Some types can be as large as 3' x 4'. • Can Patios Be Installed Without Pouring A Concrete Slab?

We recommend installing patios, sidewalks and flatwork on a steel reinforced, concrete slab. Flatwork installed on other surfaces will likely move over time, becoming unstable and less permanent. Eventually, it will require maintenance or costly repairs.
