Our customers sometimes ask us about plant choices for their newly crafted stone walls. Here are some suggestions from Peter Loewer, contributing editor, with Carolina Gardener magazine. These all work great in Raleigh and throughout North Carolina:

Alyssums
Creeping phlox
Thyme
Vinca
Sedum

Columbine
Stonecrop
Mosses
Creeping sage
Bloodroots

Wild violets
Himalayan sarcococca
Coral bells (Heuchera spp.)
Ferns such as Christmas or maidenhair

Dianthus deltoides (Maiden Pink)
Nepal ivy (X Fatshedera lizei 'Monstrosa Variegata')
